Lyrics from
the "hope after heartache" songs: Bring your children (Come as children)
Bring your
children, to the hill of the Lord
Well, that’s
what He says…
Will you
believe?
That’s right…
Right now… Come on!
She was lovely,
and I had a
young man's blue
So long, come
back when your older
She was lovely,
And she knew
what was true
Part of me,
loves everything I see
Sometimes….
More of the day,
Colorful bounds,
I am hoping that
you feel as we do
What a wonderful
night,
The feeling that
I have when I’m next to you
Filling up the
moments…
More of the day,
To where I'm
going from where I've been Let's go slow and start again
A day in the
life won't show you when
It's a wheel
that turns...
To where we are
going from were we've been
Even when we sleep

I have a thesis about the earth…
Oh, It was true before my birth
I think it’s clear for all to see
Here it goes for what it’s worth
There is… no ordinary life
There exists … extraordinary life
I see visions …
so beautiful and comforting tonight
You can hold it all around you
Just open up your mind
See! No ordinary life!
Be!… extraordinary life!
Take a simple
tiny seed
The type that grows a tree or a weed
Complicated as can be
So much simpler when your freed
There is … no ordinary life
So begins… your extraordinary life
Jesus he calls us… and here’s
what he says;
You all are brothers, can’t you see this in your heads?
Reason together… your love will make it better
We will fly it higher and higher and higher into the night
We will fly it higher and higher and higher… tonight
It will be out-of-sight!
I see visions … so beautiful and comforting tonight
You could hold it all around you
Just open up your mind
See! No ordinary life!
Be!… extraordinary life!
This was Jesus’ song…
tell me brother; was He right or was He wrong?
and as we're playing
would you like to sing along... with the band today?
we’ll show you how to play!

Loving You Right
|

Loving you right
like the feeling I felt last night
in your arms
feelings so strong
Things I had wanted so long
The feeling is
right
I want, and I wish you might…
respond….to my charms
Returning you to my waiting arms
Tonight…
and be my lover
You…Be my lover
Through the years
having you near…
well, my tears are gone
it's why I wrote this song
for you…
and frankly dear,
It's never been clearer to me
That loving you
right
And holding you tight
Dream as I might
loving you is a pure delight
of mine…
Come be my lover… Be my lover

Moonlight on a summer's night
|

Moonlight... on a summer's night
Waiting for a falling star to shine
I like... to see you shine,
Your face and mine
We are shining all the time
I hear you talking
The morning after
the rain washes down
Seeing all the starry skies
Hope's in the air
With a smile on your face
It's mysterious ...moonlight
I made my peace with the rain... (as I was saying)
Last night...
In the heart of the country baby,
Yeah, they ought to know
In the heart of the country baby,
Yeah, they seem to know
What's coming?
He’s coming...
What's coming?
I – want - a –piece - of - blue - sky
Oh my... my... my
The morning after
the rain washes down
Seeing all the starry skies
Hope's in the air
With a smile on your face
It's mysterious ...moonlight
I made my peace with the rain...
I was hoping and praying
It looks like we'll be staying
Then down comes the rain
It's all quite insane
You search for the pieces
Hopelessly going back again…
I am not asking much
But to know one thing
That there’s meaning
And hope in which to cling
But that's the way it goes
and Lord it shows...
In the heart of the country baby,
Yeah, they ought to know
In the heart of the country baby,
Yeah, they ought to know
Stories from my life
I get my share
of trouble and strife
It’s in the moving on……
as the road is long
that moonlight,
on a summer’s night
yes moonlight,
on a summer’s night
when the feelings right
you can feel the light!

(I Never Wanted Things) The Way They Are
|
Copyright:
Richard Hart 7/4/2001 recorded September, 2006 “Hope after heartache” Blue Glass Music, LLC |
I never wanted
things to be the way they are
The life I saw reminded me of something left behind
Dreams like yesterday’s sometimes are better left untold
From a misbegotten space of mind
If you could write it all over
Would you spend the time today?
Or would you
write it off
To silly people wishing for a way - to say...
In the nicer
hours that come with the afternoon
Like a winter bird that flies across the sky
A vacancy of tenderness that is for all to see
In despair you are asking why?

88 reasons that I love you
|
Copyright:
Richard Hart 8/23/1999 recorded September, 2006 “Hope after heartache” Blue Glass Music, LLC |
For the longest
time
I thought of you
There was something in your ways
Through the darkest nights
I found you
Help me through this haze.
Are we better
one
than two… child?
Can we keep this fire
in its place?
Tell me truthfully
when you think of me
Do I still make your heart
start to race
There are,
88 reasons that I love you
88 reasons that I care
88 reasons to do the things I do
black and whites and none to spare
I'm tuned to you

My Father’s son
|
Copyright:
Richard Hart 7/4/2001 recorded September, 2006 “Hope after heartache” Blue Glass Music, LLC |
One of life’s mysteries
as we follow our histories…
is how much we get from big Daddy #1
Since we started,
and the waters parted
You see more and more
of where you are coming from
now let me get this right…
We are a branch of the big tree
a piece from the true root growing
quite a sight to see
We are… up and going
what will be…. will be…
But if you are asking me
I would tell you,
based on what I know,
Since this all started,
this is the way that things go,
Get the job done, never mind the show
let’s take it apart… and put it back together again
It’s a “guy thing”
I am my Father’s son!
A little more history…
and this is no mystery
I know my Father taught me
how to get things done
Love God, my wife, and my children
and in this way I am…
my Father’s son
